i'm gonna start looking for alternate locations, like Elk's lodges or hotel's or places that have conference rooms.

shoot, we could use my office if we have to, it's got a conference room.

I'm in Texas, and I have a decent sized place...If the geek invasion only lasted a day or so my fiance would be fine...she does it all the time with her sorority sisters (harder to get rid of than cockroaches...) anyway...I thought I'd just throw that out there. I have a computer with photoshop and what not, and a nice graphics tablet and highspeed internet...no scanner though....drafting table...etc...

Oh yeah and I'm in Round Rock (basically Austin...)

I sent out a couple of emails today to my first choices. We'll see how those go and if those don't turn up anything I'll widen the search. I'll keep you posted.

xadrian, good idea about the confrence rooms and such. Those would be a good alternative if need be. JV

Damn you Texan-bastards! I'm in Oregon....just about as far away as I can get. Anyone else in Oregon? I live in Eugene but its not too far from Portland if they host an event there.

News on this, I might be able to get a conference room at my office. Now that means hook ups to the net for any uploading, and I might be able to swing bringing in my old mustek for scans, we'll have to see if it still works.

Just a maybe so far, I'll know soon. Has room for about 10 people comfortably. Downtown Austin.

Down side is I don't know if the AC will be on and I have to let everyone in.
