I heard about it... heard it was a rumour that people hoped was true, but that's about it. I believe it was mentioned by one of the columnists at Ain't It Cool News... Moriarty, I think.

I think the commercial, and more importantly critical(88% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) success of X2 has certainly given them the clout to warrant back-to-back sequels, especially with the story they've alluded to with the end of X2. Anything involving the Phoenix would definitely need two movies.
