no, the original release of dawn went out of print super quick... i think there was some kind of merger or something. but they keep promising a big ass special edition like the original pressing.

I saw the trailer and it does look like these zombies can run and jump and stuff which sucks if you ask me, I prefer the staggering limping zombies who overwhelm you with sheer numbers rather than chase you down "28 Day Later" style.
Ill go check it out regardless though, although from what I understand Romero has no love for this remake.

I don't know about you, but I'm more scared of zombies that can actually catch me...so running zombies are freaky.

its not really all that small, they're just closed a bit for remodeling. all the dead will return when they're done. i heard they're installing some AC in a few of the rooms on the 7th level. and all over purgatory, it gets pretty damn hot there sittin' next to hell and all, and those un-christened babies can get really cranky.

One question:

Didn't Romero make Dawn of the Dead because the studios messed with his ideas and made their own sequels? And now they're making a remake? If my version of the story is right, this movie doesn't really make sense to me.

There are few signs of potential and some sign for failure.

One the Zombies seem to have quite a bit of energy and move a bit to quick.

Not very Zombie like. Or are they even Zombies? I don't know.

The actors seem... um... flaky. Not sure yet really. But it seems like some slangs going to be layed down on us. Not sure though.
