I am very new at this whole posting/uploading/scanning artwork thing

My question is how do you actually post the image onto the board /within you thread.
So far I have only been able to create a link to the image. Can anyone help or explain?
Am I even able to do this?

PJ should just make a faq about this and label it: "FYI: How to Post Artwork here at Penciljack.com" and put it in this forum. That would be a timesaver.
