    Firefly

Got me the boxed set today... the show is just as good as I remember it being, too. It seems to me that for 14 1-hour episodes, three of which were never aired, $40 is a hell of a deal to get yourself one of the finest science-fiction shows to hit the air, and one of the most tragically mishandled (the show was broadcast with episodes out of order, in a poor timeslot, with terrible promotion and on the wrong network).

It's rare that a series with such a difficult premise (both sci-fi and western blended together with a masterful hand) should be funny, dramatic, well-acted and with top of the line special efects. If you saw just a few episodes of this excellent series and liked it even a little bit, or if you're any kind of fan of westerns or space-faring science-fiction, you would being doing yourself a tremendous favor to find this boxed set. I paid $40 for it at Best Buy, and I know for a fact you can get it for $35 on Amazon, and it's a steal at twice the price.

Fox dropped the ball (again) with this show, but you can pick it up. There's been many a word about a Firefly feature film as well, check out the highlights from AICN and cross your fingers... I'd sooner see Firefly on the big screen than a plethora of Buffy films.

I agree Ben. The show was something that's been lacking on TV for quite some time and it was a shame that FOX handled it so badly. It was a great blend of drama and humor mixed with old fassion action/adventure. I heard that there were 3 additional episodes that were never aired but I wasn't sure if they were included on the DVD. Thanks for confirming it and I'll plan on grabbing the box set very soon.

If I had $40, I'd be all over this. The rest of you all should buy it, too. You won't regret it.
