You're probably confusing two stories here. Rikki Tikki Tavi is the name of one of the stories from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. It's about a mongoose who protects his human masters from two dangerous cobras. It was made into an animated special that aired quite frequently on Nickelodeon, which is how most people I know seem to be familiar with the story.Originally posted by Johnny Blaque

Nah, I remember that story, I read the actual story just a couple of years ago and caught the animated thing later. I think I remember the full name now, maybe someone I knew made it up.Originally posted by BenitoCereno

It goes something like this: Rikki Tikki Tim bo no sah rim bo cherry berry ruchee...(the rest is hazy and I'm sure thats not even how you spell it. I do remember that your supposed to pronounce the name in a sing song-y style.)

The animated Rikki Tikki Tavi was directed by no less than Chuck Jones, no less.
S'okay Benito, I told someone the other day, "You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din" and they looked at me as though I had said, "Much butter window is lukewarm in next fu manchu".
No-one reads Kipling anymore, 'cept people already inclined to literary pursuit.
Ahhhh!
You mean Tikki Tikki Tembo.
