    Polar Express

I'm kind of tired of Tom Hanks and CG movies, but I'm excited about this. I love Robert Zemeckis and I loved this book, too =P

OMG! I loved the book as a little kid! It was my fav book next to Jumanji. This is fantastic! It's pretty friggin cool that the visuals match almost exactly to the illustrations I remember from the book.

God, I heard about Tom Hanks' interest in this in college many years ago. I'd given up hope of ever seeing anything come of it. I had no idea it would be CG, but it fits Van Allsburg's style so well, it make perfect sense. Such a long wait, but worth it I hope.

I wish it was live action instead of CG, but I guess the CG is the selling point here...yet another opportunity to show off computer effects. Can ya tell I'm a little sick of CG effects? Seems like that's the philosophy of 75% of todays films. CGI effects first, story second. Hope this won't fall into that category.
