Ghost Rider

Greetings all, this is the next Art Jam here in projects forum. It will be run by foxmerquise8 off a script he wrote. As of this post he will be in charge so listen to what he has to say, and have fun. If anyone needs anything, please don't hesitate to contact me.

The Script.

Characters -

Hazuki Tonguru - The protagonist of the story. He is a 17 or 16 year old japanese person.

Hazato Tonguru - Hazuki father, not too old. Works for the policemen general

Shinjuku - One of the villians. Has a lot wise cracks. He is in the whole ninja getup. He wears a scarf around his neck and at the end it tapers into a fine mist. Like all ninjas you can only see his eyes. He is armed with his throwing stars and a sword (which is black). His secondary color (the color of his scarf and belt and the such) is a mix of blue and green.

Zabato - Big samurai guy, not to musclur, but not fat either. He wears the traditional samurai getup (robe and stuff), but it is on fire. Its hard to explain, but his clothes are made up of a cloth of fire. Does talk to much (but not like robot). He doesn't talk to much because he can't get a word inwise. He is not a gentle brute (oxymoron?), show don't get that idea.


Samurai Ghost Rider - What Hazuki turns into. Wears a samurai robe (like kenshin), but its white with a black outline. Wears a sun hat like raiden. His eyes always giving off embers (you can't see his eyes, just the flames coming out of it). He carries a chain and sickle over his back (instead of just a chain like the regular ghost rider). He also weilds the penace sword (which has the same effect of the penace stare. If you don't know, it makes the victim feel all the pain he has caused to other people.



Page 1

Splash Page, A shot of the ghost rider at a 3/4 angle. He is in traditional Japanese house at the time, which is burning around him. Rafters are falling, and one big rafter has fallen behind him and lies at an angle from for the floor to the roof.
Old Man Voice - In the Japanese mythos, there was once a legend of a great samurai who was killed by the most corrupt of men. Valiantly he fought, but no man can stop an army. When he died he was given a proper burial and something much greater, he was changed into the spirit of vengeance. Vengeance personified and set ablaze. Now the spirit wanders aimlessly, looking for....

Page 2

P1 - A small Japanese boy is lying in bed (one of those Japanese beds, that’s on the floor). An old man sits next to him, giving hand motions (implying he is talking). All this is being seen from outside a door (like the view of someone looking from a door).
Voice (coming from the door) - I told you not to tell him those ghost stories dad.

P2 - A horizontal box across the page

Text- Ten years later

P3 - A man is nailing a wooden sign to a tree (with Japanese letters on it, the sign should be longer vertical then it horizontal). The man is standing a stool to reach the place where he is nailing. A teenage boy is next to him.

Hazuki - Why are you putting that sign up dad?

Father - The government commissioned me to do a sign; they say it is to warn people about two assassins running about.

Hazuki - Assassins?

Father - They have already killed two government officials.

Page 3

P1 (Half the page, cut horizontal) - The scene is in a dark room at night. To the left of the panel Shinjuku is crouched on top of a tall bookcase, below him standing on the floor is Zabato with his sword out partially on fire. To the right of the panel a Japanese man in a business suit cowers in fear by his desk. Maybe a window and a door somewhere in the picture (if you do a window have some rain or lighting).

Shinjuku - You should have realized you were next in line.

Man in Suit- Why are you doing this.

Zabato - We are paid to assist your journey to the after life, although are employer has a far different reason.

Shinjuku - I hope you don't have that many relatives.

P2(Half of the space left, after the P1 was done, cut vertical) The man is slashed by Zabato's sword which is on fire, some dash lines on the picture (or whatever you guys use to show speed now a days. The man in the suit looks like he is in pain (make it look kind of exaggerated).

P3 (The rest of the space left) 3/4 view of Shinjuku with Zabato behind him (but not too close behind, maybe far enough back that you can at least see his legs).

Shinjuku - I guess we should make our way to the policeman general's house.

P1 (1/3 of the page cut horizontally, now use 1/2 of the first cut vertical) Hazuki and his father walking toward a traditional Japanese house at the time. They are at the bottom of the stairs (there is only about 2 or 3 stairs). Somewhat dark and snowing.

P2 ( the other half of the first tier of boxes) The paper door opening.

Father- Be polite

P3 (the rest of the page) A bald old man sitting on the flood sipping on tea (sake?) in a room (traditional Japanese style room). Hazuki and his father are walking in the door.

Bald Man - Come in from the cold, oh I see you brought your son also.

Father- Yes

Bald Man- You didn't have to bring him this early in the morning, but now that he is here, he can see how business is done.

Father - I have urgent news, another government official has been killed and you could be next.

Bald Man - Don't be silly Hazato ... do you smell eggs?

P1 ( 1/3 of the page cut vertically) The paper door of the house is being singed at the top; some of the door has already been burnt. You can see part of the floor in this shot too.

Voice - That’s not eggs, that is the smell of brimstone.

P2 (The rest of the page cut horizontally, the top) The bald man, the father, and Hazuki are standing and looking at the door in distress (which is now on halfway burnt diagonally revealing Zabato). The cup of tea is on the ground spilled.

P3 (The rest of the page) Zabato slashes the wall that the door is on in half

P1 (1/3 of the page cut diagonally) Frontal view of Shinjuku face.

Shinjuku - Hello, gentlemen. I think you should say goodbye, to Mr. Tai

P2 (1/2 of the rest of the page, cut horizontal) A shot of the bald man, the father behind him. The room is starting to catch on fire.

Bald Man - What are you?

Voice - Your guide to the afterlife.

P3 (the rest of the page) Shinjuku throws ninja stars at the bald man and the father, the trail of the start is black and they go 3 through them.

P1 (1/2 page cut in half vertically) Hazuki kneels and holds his father in his arms, with tears coming down his eyes. Blood is on the father's robe. The bald man is slumped over dead to the back of the picture.

Hazuki - Father!!!!!

Father- Run Hazuki, and protect the family ::last breath:;.

P2 (the rest of the page) Hazuki bursts through the paper wall (opposite to the one with the door on it)

Voice - How touching ::sniff:: if I wasn't evil I would be bawling right now.

Voice2 - Should we chase him?

Voice - Lets give him a head start, I want to have some fun.

Splash Page - We see Hazuki from the back view ( at a distance, although distinct enough to tell its him). He is running toward a large forest (no leaves on the trees) and it is snowing. Above the forest is a fading imagine of head of the ghost rider.
Voice - And so the legend goes that he now looks aimlessly for someone with enough valor to house the spirit of vengeance. Engulfed in the flames of vengeance, which flare when innocent blood is spilled, Hazuki Tonguru, becomes justice taken form and given life. Riding a black horse with a mane of dying embers, he is the spirit of vengeance, the Ghost Rider.

P1 (1/3 of the page cut vertically) Hazuki's body is on fire, and light is coming out of his eyes and mouth. His hands grabbing his head and he looks to be in intense pain

P2 (The second of the 1/3 page cut vertically) Part of Hazuki is in his clothes (the top) and the bottom is in the ghost rider costume. Same pose as the last panel.

P3 (The rest of the page) The ghost rider looking cool. Frontal view.

P1 (1/2 of the page cut horizontal) Shinjuku and Zabato looking around. In the forest with trees around them and snow.

Shinjuku - That boy is resourceful; to bad we have to kill him.

Voice - Innocent blood has been spilled, vengeance will be served.

Shinjuku - Who is are? show yourself.

Voice - I am Vengeance'

P2 (The rest of the page) The ghost rider is standing in the forest with his sword drawn and he appears to be in an attacking stance. There is evidence in the trees a clash has taken place (broken branches and fallen trees.

P1 (1/3 of the page cut horizontally) The faces of Shinjuku and Zabato, they don't look amused.

Shinjuku - Its nice, to meet you... um what was it, Vengeance? Sorry we have to kill you, but as you can see we are in a bit of a rush.

P2 (1/3 of page cut horizontally, under the first panel) Zabato is in the process of chopping down a tree. Its on a tilt (the tree) showing its in the process of falling.

P3 (1/2 of what is left of the page cut vertically) The ghost rider jumps you can see his from move up in the air and do a flip.

P4 (The rest of the page) Zabato's and Ghost Rider swords collide and create an explosion

I'll do page 10. Is there going to be a specific model sheet that we go from, or will each page just feature the artist's representation of the description provided? Just asking, because I'd really like to interpret it on my own.

Ok I'm back on. What do you guys want to do pencils, ink, colors, or the whole page? (you can do all if you want). I was hoping for the representation of the characters to be somewhat uniform. But, if you really want you can do some character sheets.

This what I need

Pencillers - As many as I can get
Inkers - See above
Colorists - See above
Letters = 2 or 3

You can be in more then on catagroy.

Also if you guys want you can do a cover shot, you can do anything you want for the cover (to an extent). So give me some ideas for the cover

i'm only going to have time to do the pencils. but i do agree about the character sheets. i can work on ones for GR, and hazuki, since there on my page. and i'll throw you some cover ideas if it's cool.

Ok, I'll put you down for it. Can you get on aim, so we can hammer out the details?

Also for everyone else, if there are no colorist, by the time all the inks are done, then we can go black and white like magna. If only one or two colorist join, then they can do the splash pages and color (although if you want to do any of the other pages and not the splash pages, do tell).

I would like to pencil and ink page 2 (yeah, I know I dropped coloring the last thing in order to do drawing.. I suck as a colorist, anyway), but I need some clarification as to what, if anything, is happening in panel 2 of page 2.

Also, it seems to read that it's 3 panels that are pretty non-sequitor as far as the thinking involved with them goes. Is this correct? I know it's going to be the same location.
