    CrossGen's comics on DVD

Hi all, I came across this article on Newsarama:

    http://www.newsarama.com/forums/show...&threadid=6363

and was just wondering if anyone here has tried any of these out yet? Any opinions? It may be a while before I see any of these here in Kuala Lumpur, so I was just curious if anyone's actually tried them yet.
    Take care,

i saw these at gamestop the other day...they ****ing blew my mind!!

it seems to me that crossgen is doing more to promote comics than a lot of other companies.....although i'm sure having DVDs of these isn't such a great idea.

i remember a marvel CD-ROM i have from a long time ago with the fantastic four. it has one main issue narrated by stan the man along with a bunch of other comics that branch off from the main one. plus a bunch of backstories and all kinds of crazy fun shit.....i need to put it on this comp...

Even if they don't sell a ton of these, it's a good idea, 'cause they're SO cheap to make, compared to tpb's and such. Much more profit to be made.

I picked up the negation one (only $10!). It has like six episodes on it. I think the idea is pretty cool but it needs some tweaking. First off seeing full color comic book art on your tv is VERY cool.

The one draw back is that it shows word balloons AND the dialogue is acted out by actors. They should have a subtitile option that can turn the word balloons on or off (I'd rather just hear the dialogue and wath the art). Also I'd like to see them a little more animated like they are on the preview sections. Cutting out certain characters and backgrounds to move them independently instead of just panning the panels.

I'd definately recommend giving one a try, it's only ten bucks. It's no sliced bread but it's a step in good direction.
