Dat Phan. He made a guest appearance on Leno on the night Ahnold announced his candidacy. Pretty funny guy, did a little bit before the interview.
He's no Mitch Hedberg, but who is.
I didn't really follow the show, but I really wanted that guy from Bumhump, USA to win, but I guess he didn't make it to the final five.
So who did win? Who was THE FUNNIEST PERSON IN AMERICA???

Ralphie, the guy from Houston, should have won.
He was the funniest in my opinion.
Dat does too much material about his mother. It gets repetitive after a while.
"Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work."
Something about that. Margaret Cho did a lot about her mom too.
As much as we try to be PC, stereotypes are still funny sometimes.
None of them were really that funny at all.

Ralphie was a one-trick pony. And do you really want to see NBC make a sitcom around the guy (and I do mean 'around'... badump bump! )
Dat's not too original, but shave off his little Fu-Manchu wannabe mustache and I could see him on a sitcom. Not a good sitcom, but a sitcom nonetheless...
the best choice would havd been rich voss
True that none of them are the next Bill Hicks, but Ralphie was the only one that made me laugh.

Dat?
wow I thought that those assholes would have gotten rid of him sooner or later. But for him to win, that's unexpected.
But yeah I thought that Ralph would win. He was the best.
I followed the show.
I thought Ralphie would win. He got the biggest applause and everyone seemed to like him the most.
He was my second choice, but actually, his stand-up wasn't that funny...especially his set during the final voting. He just yelled. He yelled about how he wanted the middle east to get bombed because he wanted lower gas prices. It was a terrible awful set. I hated it. But off stage, or doing adlib, he's really funny. His on-stage humor is just too rehearsed whiteboy-wannabe-black rhetoric. Very tired. Seems like a really nice, good guy though.
Dat I liked the best. His humor was a bit derivative of the Cho school of comedy. But pretty funny overall. He won me over with the routine he did about Jackie Chan at the toilet, funniest bit on the entire show. And he was totally the underdog, and I tend to sway towards the underdog. I voted for Dat.
The final five panned out exactly how I wanted. Though I thought Rob Cantrell should have been in the top 3. I actually think he might have proved funnier than Ralphie in the end.
Also, women comedians are very rarely funny. I disliked all the women on that show, especially Tess.
