Tablet Question
Okay, all. I'm in the market for a tablet, but I hear that the prices for the official Wacoms are just a tad steep. So I was wondering what other companies may have worthwhile tablets to look into purchasing, and what the price tags are on these. Thanks.

Don't call it a comeback, I been here for YEARS!
I've been asking about the quality, but haven't gotten too far with answers. I have my eye on a 9" x 12" Aiptek that runs about a c-note and a half at Circuit City or Best Buy.

Pimp (I've always wanted to say that )...
You may want to check into getting the $100 dollar version of the wacom tablet. Its smaller but its a wacom and the brand is proven worthy. I did a test profile for you- small workspace, graphic designer, and it suggested the Intuos2 4x5. The reason I entered small workspace is the $100 dollar version is small. If you want to see what they look like, go to wacom.com

Well, what I didn't say was . . .
When I got jacked the lowlife piece of shit theives stole a wacom graphire 2 from me. I was just getting good with it too. It is sturdy, a GREAT deal and it IS a wacom. Intuos as I understand it is a higher quality/priced tablet.
My earlier post was just to say you could spend a comparable amount of cash and get a bigger tablet. I thought the 4x5 tablet was a tad teensy.

Graphire ! That's what those little plastic different colored buggers are called. I see them all the time at CompUsa.

Thanks for the replies all, but doesn't the small Wacom become a bit uncomfortable when colouring larger pictures?

I'm colorblind but the small one I have works for me.
