    Traffic... blech!

Ah, traffic. Without it, it's a ten minute drive home from work. With rush hour traffic, it becomes just under thirty minutes. And today, the Celtics play at the Fleet Center, halfway between home and work at 6pm (to fit into TNT's programming schedule). Yeah, it ought to be fun around North Station tonight between the hours of 5 and 6. Thank you TNT, how can I ever thank you?

How about by NOT watching "The Breakfast Club" on Sunday afternoon. However, I promise to watch it next Tuesday morning, Wednesday evening, Thursday afternoon and Friday at midnight, OK?

Grumble, grumble. How's traffic where YOU live?

I go to some lengths not to be on the roads during rush hours. I despise driving in heavy traffic... been in too many fender-benders.

My wife drive is 30 minutes on off peak. 45-60 minutes durring rush hour, and up to an hour and a half when it rains. Two hours in the snow.

I probably pay $500 more for rent than I used to, just so I wouldn't have to deal with DC traffic anymore. It used to take me an hour to get to work and an hour to get home... a drive that would normally take 15 minutes without traffic.

I live two blocks away from work now and it only takes a few minutes... it's worth the extra money in rent just to have that two hours back instead of sitting in traffic.

That was basicly a 40 hour work week per month that was spent sitting in my car! Friggin nuts.

I used to live in Conroe TX, north of Houston. I worked in the Galleria (west side of town) and the drive home during rush out would take 90 mins.

Now living in Austin, it takes about 45 mins to get to work, between 7 and 8am and that's WITH dropping the kid off at school. Without that it takes about 20 mins.

Yet I still bitch and moan when traffic is bad.

My busdriver drives me while I listen to music, eat and sleep.

So I have no idea how it is.

    I get serviced.
