3 pages of book I'm working on

Hey,
Here's the first 5 pages from a book I'm working on. It's a bit different than the style I tend to draw, but it's something I'm growing comfortable with. There's not a lot here, and is fairly tame compared to the rest of the book - quickly it gets unexplainable with talking monkeys, giant pigs, and various wackiness, but every story has to start somewhere. I'll post pages from later in the book sometime.

Ha! That's great! At first I was like "damn, it's too wordy. I'll just comment on the layout and the art". But then I get to page 3 and notice a dispute and the lady attacking the clerk and I had to read it all. Funny story (and I can relate, I've had customers throw stuff at me before) and great art. The layout works, but for the amount of words in there, I'd have to say give it 6 pages for that sequence alone.

this is my first post on this board, i sneak around here pretty much but registered only to tell you that i love that story!

when does your book come out and is it gonna be available in europe?

I'm glad people are enjoying the book. Unfortunately it'll be awhile before I finish it. I actually completed the book a couple years ago as a school project my senior year of college, but it was pretty crappy art-wise and especially lettering. So I'm in the process of re-doing the entire book. It was 48 pages the first time around and with tweaks and stuff it may be longer this time. I dunno since it's a work in progress. With all the other stuff I'm working on it's not top priority (unfortunately projects that bring in money must come first) I'm hoping to have the whole book finished this year and if no one picks it up I'll self-publish it and have copies ready for the big conventions next year. If i get more support, or publisher interest, it may find it's way to being finished that much faster. Anyways, I'm glad people are getting some laughs with it, and I'll post pages here and there from it, so keep watching.

Only got pages one and three, but they are excellent, shall try to get the rest to work later. I humour is a little dated, but as with all good comedy, can still make me laugh.

You know what you should call it? Ultimate Comic Book Guy.
