    "Human Shields Go Home!"

    It's happening.

To those of you who said that the Iraqi people didn't want help to rid them of their tyrannous master, I say turn on your televisions and watch the celebration.

The people are finally feeling free to throw off the fear of oppression, now knowing that Saddam and his goon squad are just about finished.

    Not in your name, indeed.

Ahh, finally. Not that I really keep up with things... but at least they're finally standing up for themselves. Now that someone is saying "shuddap saddam" they're starting to get some backbone. Nobody has ever really talked bad about saddam and lived... but now that the American's are laying the smack down, I suppose that things are changing.

Although I'd rather not have any fighting, I'm glad that the oppression is ending... kinda makes you wonder what we fight when there's no more oppression left, huh?

although i have not turned on the tv lately , i was assuming this was one of the main reasons that we didnt recieve a standing ovation when we first started this back up ... i figured that it was mostly in fear that if we didnt get rid of him this time , the people would suffer again ... im glad things are getting together , and although i wish there was another way to go about this conflict deep inside i think foir now this is the only way ... i wish well to all affected by this , and to all the families who have lost loved ones i send my sympathies ... not only americans , but iraqs people and britain , and whomever else is involved ... may this time be prosperous .

This is not over by a long shot, now that the cowards have melded into the civillian population, they will spring up to cause trouble. Cause they lost everything Saddam gave them, they damn sure want it back, hopefully the Iraqi people can help out in this area to weed them out. Which looks like they are doing, with a vengence.

If I was an Iraqi soldier, I'd beat feet to get the hell out of Iraq, a..s.a.p.. The people will most certainly remember those who held them down.

Did you see the bathe(sp?) party member, hanging in the street with a plaquard around his neck?

spelled baath. I know that only because i HAVE to for my government class. I SO can't wait to get out of here...

Oh, right. They're still working on that gigantic statue... some of my classmates are taking bets as to when the statue comes tumbling down.

I hear that on French television, they've been showing footage of an earthquake in India, and NOT showing their people the celebration in Iraq.

Great! The war's pretty much over!

Now let's see what internal problems arise..

TFF - the french show the images of Iraqi people celebrating.
About those images; Just some open questions. I'm not trying to imply anything.
How many Iraqis do you see cheering?
Why are they cheering? (Is it out of joy that Saddam's regime has fallen, or out of fear of the Americains or their fellow Iraqis? Both?)
