    How Do I make Avatars?

Okay, sorry to waste your time on this stupid matter but I don't know how to create an avatar for myself. Someone indulge me...please.

Why would people view this thread and not respond? Did they think there would be a surprise inside? Come on, I just need to know this one bit thing and I'll be outta the way..who knows..maybe forever.

It's just a picture that you put up on the web somewhere. I think there's a size limit, though. you can set it though the options if you have enough posts. (I forgot how many.)

Any image that you can resize to the proper proportions and then upload will work. The proportions should be listed in the avatar upload section of your Personal Profile.

Image needs to be 50x50 pixels or smaller and I think it needs to be a gif. Not sure on that last part, but everyone else had a gif so I made gifs. There's a filesize limit too, but I think it's like 15k or something. It's small.

Find a nice picture, take it into whatever graphics suite you use, crop and resize 'til you're happy.

    my knowledge:

you need 150 posts to activate the avatar-thing
    50x50 pixels
    *.jpg or *.gif
    less than 4kb size

    what prog you need:
it depends ... if you create the avatar from some existing pic i always use ACDSee v3.0 ---- you can cut out a square (any size) ... save the crop and then resize it easily to 50x50 format and save as jpeg!
if you intend to make some animated avatar (which is only possible in *.gif-format) i think Adobe Photoshop ImageReady v3.0 is a cool proggy)

but remember that maximum size is 4kb! (i think itīs 4 ... mhm)
