Well, Nemo's supposed to be a man of the world and all, and he was a tough S.O.B> in the book. Plus, the dude playing him looks like Sherlock Holmes, and it's been speculated that Moore might make him be Holmes in disguise. Of course, we know that he survived the final conflict with Moriarty at the falls, and that his brother Mycroft knew where he was hiding, so that might work out.
