While I agree that war is not a way to solve problems all the time - it is Human Nature.

We did not start this war. War was declared on America by the Terrorist.

We did not start this war but WE MUST AND WILL finish this war. Anyone that gets in the way WILL have to die.

Kuwaiti nationals have been shooting at our military personel, killing one so far. We did not attack anyone first in Kuwait, our men were in a training exercise when they were attacked. They had no ammo. They were unarmed. And yet they died. MORE INFO Everyday for the last 3 days they have continued to attack our men.

Pascifists here in America find a way to complain about everything. When we were attacked last year EVERYONE was saying how we need to get revenge, how it was wrong, how we must do something. Now that we are finally expanding our actions... they are bitching. We are going to go over and kill innocents in another country. They, like our innocents, are nothing but collateral damage. The terrorist made that abuntantly clear when they killed our women and children.

The middle east has a hard core way of punishing their criminals. Eye for an Eye is the way they do things. Eye for an Eye is the way we will do things.

I have no problem understanding why some people do not want us to go to war. Why we shouldnt send our men to a far off place to fight some battle that is not 100% clear to everyone. But, we must understand that we have always fought our battles - whether we started them or not, whether we won them or not. If we didnt fight the wars we have 95% of the population of america would not be here. They would be in whatever country their forefathers came from.

We as Americans need to be United in the War on Terrorism. Terrorist do not care who they kill as long as they kill their target. They kill their own as long as they make their point. And we must make sure that our innocents are safe, if its at the expense of other innocents... then so be it.

This is a very complex situation.

On one hand we Know that Saddam is a ruthless dictator who thinks of himself as the most powerful leader of the arab world of the 20th/21st century, and he sure is willing to prove that. He's also very pissed at the US (and the rest of the Western world) for thwarting the plans he had for Kuwait 11 years ago. He doesn't comply to UN resolutions, he uses the money he gets from the 'Food for Oil'-programme of the UN to re-build his military force, and he reigns oppresively over the poor Iraqi people. don't be fooled: Saddam has his share of opposition in Iraq as well. The two Gulf Wars and the poverty of the country has made him a hated man by many Iraqis. Since there are so many different 'power groups' in Iraq, there hasn't been an attempt to overthrow him yet.

On the other hand we've got George Walker Bush Jr. It's a fact he's got many ties with the Oil business. His main sponsors (bosses?) are Oil companies, and multi-national enterprises - who don't care much for a human life; Or a thousand lifes. It's crystal-clear it would be 'convenient' for these enterprises if they had access to the Iraqi oil rescources. (all in the name of democracy, of course)

I do believe Saddam is building weapons of mass destruction. I don't believe he could build those weapons on the scale Bush and Blair are saying.
Hans Blix has clearly said that Saddam simply doesn't have the possibility to produce those type of weapons. Iraq is buying rusted tanks and weapons from other countries (like Egypt) to defend itself. Not very likely they have the $ to research and make time-consuming nuclear or chemical/biological weapons.

In the supposition there will be a war, Saddam will be removed, and Iraq will be occupated by UN (or only American) forces; the region will be severly de-stabilized. If I look back at Afghanistan, I'm not euphoric at all: since there is no such thing as a centralised government , there are still women wearing Burqa's and there are still un-ethical and un-democratic 'things' going on. Luckily less than when the Taliban was in charge , but still.
What I'm trying to say is that innocent and un-knowing civilians will be the greatest victims. It's widely assumed (and proven) that more civilians died by US bombings on Afghanistan than there were WTC/Pentagon casualties.


To the question "How to Deal with Saddam?" there is no correct answer. But if it were up to me, I'd get UN inspection teams in there as fast as possible, and if Saddam doesn't co-operate or if there is some REAL HARD evidence of him producing mass-destruction weapons he would have to be exterminated.
How? Preferably by some sort of Navy-Seal team. But not by
open war.


PS : If a war would prove to be necessary, the UN should fight that war. Not only the US and UK. I hope that's obvious.

We have not yet gotten those responsible for the attack on the US.

you know what? Screw 'em. Smart bomb them back to the damn stone age and institute US control. Hell, adopt them as the 51st (or 52nd, I suppose) state. Get it done, once and for all. I don't care if Bush is doing it for personal reasons or for monetary gains. We sit here with senators and legislators forcing their moral code on the people who voted them in. We can't even do research on stem cells, because it is against their 'god'. This country was founded on the separation of church and state, and that doesn't mean just in schools. Yet we are constantly hamstringed by these senior citizens in power who are trying to 'teach us' to live by their ethics ... China, on the other hand, is making leaps and bounds. In 10 years, we will be begging them for the cures to diseases. At least if we take the damn oil, we may have a bargaining chip.

And I know it may be cold, but let's stop sending hundreds of millions out in aid to all these countries that are one step above an ant farm. Funnel that back into the economy. Or feed our own damn impoverished citizens.

It's not politically correct, but might makes right. Every war has proven that. If the 3rd Reich was successful, we would all be saying that 'ethnic cleansing' should have been done a lot sooner. That's just the way we humans work. We love a winner. So let's start winning. We've got the technology, we've got the manpower. Let's go in there and wipe these bastards in power out, once and for all...

Here's what we need to do. My good friend keith is the one that came up w/ this one. it's called PORN FOR PEACE. what we need to do is instead of dropping bombs all over the middle east, we drop porn. sure it will kill a few people, but more so all the men over there who are busy opressing there women and what not will realize what they actually have under all of those sheets. not too mention they'd be busy hiding in the bathroom going blind. then they'll realize how cool the rest of the world is, get their heads out of their asses and hopefully just stop being such d!ckheads.

I support the war on terrorism. I support catching and punishing those responsible for 9/11.

It's been a year.. some of those responsible have been found.. the ringleader has not so.. to divert the attention of the unwashed masses from that fact.. Bush Jr decides to make his Pappy proud and go after Hussein.

It would not surprise me if this was all actually Bush Sr's idea. "Now W.. that thar Hussein thumbed his nose at me an my sanctions... now that we're back in power.. we're gonna show 'im.. right?" "Right Pa.."

It may not be the case.. but it wouldn't surprise me.. we'll never know.

My point is.. finish one task before moving on and starting crap somewhere else.
