Believe it or not, I think Nic Cage would do a good job as Namor.
From what I read, the Sub-Mariner movie is going to be more like a “sweeping epic” written as a trilogy. Prime will be more of an action comedy.
I don’t know what kind of appeal Sub-Mariner is going to have for a mass market, let alone enough to make 3 movies. I just want to know if he’s going to have the little wings on his heals.
Prime sounds like it could be fun.
Who would you cast?
Kevin Green (kid prime): Justin Long (Warren P. Cheswick on Ed, Geek in Galaxy Quest, brother in Jeepers Creepers)
Prime: The Rock (with a wig)
Sub-Mariner: Hugh Jackman

His last few performances havew seemed tired and a lacking in effort.
I think that John Cusack would be an excellent Namor.
He's got teh kind of face that would look natural with pointed ears - and theres generally something other-worldly about him.
On top of that, he's a first rate actor who could really breath life into the fish-guy.

I have more faith in lesser properties like this to be a better movie than i do for characters like the Hulk and Daredevil. The Punisher seems like its just screaming for a really good screenplay
I dont guess it really matters honestly. I dont think the New Marvel will really let any sub par material hit the populace
I guess your right.
One of the things that I’ve seen Marvel do with it’s movies (that WB should learn) is that they get people who love the material to work on it, and then they keep the studio out of the process as much as possible. You end up with the heart and soul of the characters on the big screen.
The WB seems to micromanage everything in the DC movies to the point that the core characters get lost.
If Marvel can make DD work (and it looks like it will be awesome) then I guess I should have more faith.
I still think that Hugh Jackman would play a majestic aqua king perfectly.
Why another Punisher movie? The first one was so amazing!
As for directors:
Prime: Barry Sonnenfeld. He has the strange eye to make this interesting, just don’t let him skimp on the script like his last few movies.
Sub-Mariner: Bring back Richard Donner to his superhero roots.
Hugo Weaving as Namor! He's got the right face, and he's got experince with the pointy ears as Elrond. Namor's a prick, and so was Agent Smith.
--Carter--
Hugo Weaving would be cool but he seems kinda old.
I second that John Cusack suggestion.
