What if we know we suck with textures, how do we do them the right way?

Do you do them the best of you ability, and Phil and I will let you know where you're going wrong and what you are doing right. At least you'll know where you stand. You may just think you suck. You may be a texture messiah--only way to find out is to give it a try.

Critical Mass is a place where it's okay to screw up. It's a training ground. you stumble, we'll try to pick you up. You might even learn something along the way. You stumble in the pro world, you're in a world of hurt. There's no safety nets to catch you. "I don't know how." won't please too many editors or clients.

...but what i think he's really trying to say is that even pros make mistakes, and this is the place to make them...

Because having been awake for 50-60 hours at the time, I didn't want to accidently delete the entire post (which I am fully capable of doing).
