I have a Klimt book. I wish I had more art books, I love to pore over them. I'd especially like a Rembrandt and Rockwell book.

My friend starts a part time job at a book store soon and she says she can get me a nice discount on books. There goes the last of my money...

I have a Klimt Book.
I dig how he uses gold and silver shiny paint.
Once I was hanging with this girl who came to see me at work.
I decided to pick up this coverbox of a movie which was an obvious swipe (to me) off of Klimt's "the Kiss" or or of his paintings for that matter. . . let's just put it this way: it was obviously a sorry version of what he had done already. I have also seen people copy off of Klimt in The books "Spectrum"

I tried pointing it out to her and she looked at me and talked to me like I was a dork so I said nothing more and we continued our conversation. It's amazing how some things are interesting out of common knowledge, and if someone does not consider something common knowledge, they refuse to credit it with merit.

I think Klimt should be famous(or well more famous with the profane), I mean we all know a nice set of flesh when we see it, but who can recognize a good swipe? and should we actually care? Do you see more Flesh on magazine/book covers, or art? It matters what you acknowledge on the shelf.

That's a very cool site. Especially the magnifying glass feature. Klimt's aight - I've got dibs on Mucha, though.

Yeah, I love Klimt - but Mucha is my favourite.

I know its an old cliche to say that ''everytime you look at *insert artist's name*'s work you see something new'' --- but with Klimt and Mucha its absolutely true.

Klimt is my favorite artist, he's also the one that provoked my first shock when contemplating art.

His use of gold and colors as evoked earlier is amazing, and I also love his way of mixing esoterism, mythology and just cool poses.

Also, being a huge Bisley fan, I can really see how Klimt influenced him, especially in his Slaine work.

I've never heard of Muncha though, I will look for some art by him.

I'm prolly one of the few that have a hard time with Klimt. I much better prefer looking at Mucha's art or John Bauer or de Lempicka. I dunno.

A LOT of comics artists draw inspiration from Alphonse Mucha. I have a print of his work "Seasons" in my kitchen. Absolutely gorgeous linework. He sure can draw a pretty lady.

Klimt is good, good stuff. You can see a lot of his influence in Eric Canete's work.

sometimes it can be just amazing beautiful or just repulsively irrating to look at
