    Emulators and ROms

I downloaded a lo t of rOms and emulators a few months ago. Enjoying my childhood favorites. But as I was PLaying the SNES version of Mortal Kombat I got board with the No blood thing. So I decided to download MAME32 Arcade Emulator and some games came with it. I got Ninja Turtles and Mortal Kombat and the Classic X-Men game (You know the one with Wolverine in Brown, Cyclops with those Swashbuckling boots) and among other arcade classics. Man Emulators are tight as a muthaf*ka.

I'm quite the fan of MAME myself, but the roms can be difficult to find. A friend of mine recently bought the X-Arcade controller and has plans to implant it into a custom cabinet, complete with one of his Frankensteinian home-built PCs and an inexpensive monitor to create the Ultimate Arcade Machine. He's well on his way with over 3 gigabytes (yeah, gigabytes) of roms.

And then he'll probably charge all his friends a quarter each to relive their nostalgic arcade days...

Me, I'm just happy I got the roms for both of the old DnD Arcade games (Tower of Doom and Shadows over Mystara). Too bad I can't seem to find the 4-player rom for SoM, it's quite the party game.

i have the MAME emulator and it r0x0rs my b0x0rs. seriously.

i've beaten the old Capcom Aliens vs. Predator and Punisher games over and over again.

the mame emulator is so cool! it actually tricks your computer into thinking it's an arcade machine. just think of all the money you wasted back in the day, plugging quarter after quarter in, when now all it takes is to hit the #5 key.

    ahhhhhhh....

btw - i download from here for my MAME roms. depending on the time of day (traffic) i've had pretty good success getting all the oldschool faves.

ps...the xmen game...yeah, it rules. so does the captain america and the avengers game.
