I have the Japanese movie. It's very creepy. Not a gory monster movie. More an unseen, inevitable terror. It's somewhat like Blair Witch in tone.
Very good.

I like the creepy filling that it gives off. But the trailler show absolutely nothing for me to go on. So I'm going to wait for more.
I have to say that the opening part of the trailer, where the camera is inside the tape recorder. That was the most awesome part of the entire trailer. I can't explain it, but those shots were beautiful.
i wish more directors would get avant garde or whatever in their direction like that
i think just being a comic artist can make movies a very unenjoyable at times....i watch a movie sometimes and think "geez this director is choosing some Really boring shots, the photography is really lame, the editing is pathetic."
This is the kind of movie where you really don't want to give away any of it. It's a pretty cool, dense mythology and everything in it moves the plot forward. So instead, the trailers are trying to show the mood, rather than what it's about.
But at its core, there is a reporter trying to figure out the truth behind why people seem to die seven days after they see a mysterious video. It's very well done, at least the Japanese version that I have. I have a lot of faith in actress Naomi Watts after the fantastic "Mullholand Drive" and the director, Gore Verbinski knows his shiz. I have faith.
And Wallychamp, I was just being a dork and quoting an obscure piece of the movie. My goal is to quote it enough to annoy people and then enough more times to make it funny. Heh.
i bought the Japanese DVD on ebay last week, still waiting for it. i catually want to see both, and compare.
This is wierd too.

It's not your fault, it's mine, because I forgot you are stupid.
