    My website is launched!

    http://www.samuelorona.com

I started taking a web design class in August at my junior college, we're using Dreamweaver and we're at the end of week 13 of an 18 week semester. This has been one of the most difficult classes I've taken, ranking up there with Statistics and Anthropology and Intro to Logic. Web design is required for my AA degree in Graphic Design.

I bought five years of my domain name from GoDaddy, and three years of webhosting from them.

There are three WOW sliders, one on the home page with four one-page fitness comics, one on the Portfolio page with six images that illustrate stories I've written, and one on the Comics page with a 12-page comic about the first man to invent miniaturization.

Let me know what you think.

EDIT: For those who may not like the WOW sliders, they were required by my professor as part of the assignment for designing our personal website.

The slider thing is in the MIDDLE of the page.

    That is extremely annoying.

Couldn't really concentrate on any of the pages because of it.

What do you mean? Vertically or horizontally?

I get the arrows on each side, but the pause/play button is the offender.

I don't know if it matters, but I'm using Google Chrome.

I see what you mean, I have no control over that, WOW slider comes that way. It was required as part of my class assignment

I don't know how much work it would be, but you could fix it on your end.

If you can't change the navigation, then change the art.

You know exactly where those navigation bars are located. I would adjust the artwork to coincide with them. Add some space on each page where those are so it doesn't cover the artwork.

Thanks for the advice, in future comics I make I'll take that into consideration

When you're out of this class, ditch the wow slider.

Your professor is either a moron, or a terrorist.

Unless this is some garbage code your professor has had a hand it. I've never seen this garbage before. Maybe you could point your professor to the W3C.

    Replace it with Comic Press.

All sarcasm aside, look at other sites you visit out there. Observe what you see. Implement accordingly. I can't believe somebody is getting paid to teach people this poorly, but it's not the first time I've seen a charlatan in education.

If you don't mind the watermarks (or paying to remove them)
    *Edit*

EDIT: Sorry for this one guys.. I had previously used this and had no idea there were viruses.

EDIT: Here's a article with other sources for a similar page flipping effect.. I've not researched them but it's possibly worth looking at. (edit, it looks like Turn.js is maybe the simplest)

EDIT: Originally there was also a link to Jalbum.. that link is now removed. To my knowledge the Templatemonster link is ok..
