    Daredevil WIP for streetfight

Any help/ideas would be much appreciated, specifically with the background.
Rooftop at night? Dark dirty alleyway? Or maybe no background, and go for a "what Matt hears" look?

really nice work here! I think the moon as the main background feature would be the way to go, it would lend itself to some nice contrast of light on the reds of the ninjas and dd himself! dd has a few proportion problems, most notably his head is a little too big for his frame and (to my eye at least, but just an opinion) is lower legs could be longer. as for the composition i think moving the ninjas in a little closer to him, boxing him in and getting the drop on him might be a good idea. and maybe over lap some of the figures a little more to help with the depth? but a really strong piece and looking forward to watching it progress! I did a little photoshop rejigging to show what i mean, hope you dont mind!

    hope it helps!

Since this is a Streetfight, I'll forgo the drawover.

    Here's my 2 cents.

If he's surrounded, then definitely put more ninjas in the foreground.

    Skyline in the background.

If you go with the sonar lines, try moving the moon off to one side to help alleviate confusion.

Daredevil is awful static. Try dropping a shoulder and having the opposite leg forward. Since he's blind, I like him looking down and to the side a little to suggest his hearing is being used to locate things all around him.

The building top is scaled really small. We might see one corner, but probably not both. Remember that your horizon line will help determine how big a person is in relation to other foreground elements.

    Thank you gentlemen, solid advice!
I appreciate the photoshopping crazyjedichicken, tells a better story.
DD definitely needs to be poised to strike and I will tilt his listening ear, thanks Veritas.

    Progress so far.
I haven't captured that ideal 'listening ear' head-tilt...yet
Might add more ninjas and try to stop making heads too big

One thing to keep in mind is camera angle. A low angle looking up implies power/dominance. A high angle looking down: weakness/disadvantage. Since there are so many enemies, a down shot implies overwhelming odds, upping the drama.
