Do the writers get paid at least? Maybe I'll submit some writing. I can't find submission guidelines on your site, do you have any?
Morganza,
Its John from Red Leaf. We've talked a few years back about art or a pin-up. Not sure if you remember. I publish books that feature creators who want to be published. If you have your own system and making money is a goal, go for it. That's awesome! Mahnmut is trying to find partners to realize his scripts. He's done a fantastic job and put a lot of energy into his creations. Recognize him for his passion as a creator, please. Any business questions can be sent to me directly at redleafcomics@mail.com. I'll even give you my cell so you can ask any questions you want. All the best to you!

My dream is just to see something that I wrote published. The way I look at it is that comics are something that I love. I love reading and writing them I can pay the bills another way as long as I get to do them. That's not questioning your passion for comics, Morganza, it's just saying we have different approaches.I've done plenty of free work and my dreams never came true
You are an awesome artist (I used a picture you drew of the Thing as my IPad wallpaper for awhile and still have it on here it's one of the few things I haven't erased or replaced) if you don't mind me saying so you're work reminds me of John Severin who used to do Cracked when it was a magazine but before that did some unbelievable war comics as well as my very favorite Punisher story "The Tyger" so it would have been an honor to work with you and who knows we may get to do some work together in the future. Thanks again for the link and good luck with your artwork.
Morganza,
The writing/creating/drawing post for this thread is for non-paying assignments. We are looking for newcomers that need the chance to build a portfolio or build exposure. Its also a way to get a character in print and realized. Red Leaf assumes NO ownership of any characters and never have since we began in 2005 making books. Veterans that know how to produce a book, print, and market their book need not apply. You guys have crafted your talents to an incredible degree and I'm not sure we could help your career.
Nevertheless, if you want to work together on a project, try a NEW approach, or FEATURE your characters in a story and co-write/draw/produce with the intent of building exposure for your property and establishing IP rights through prrint, we can help. but its help, not a paying job.
I wish you the best!

Hey Juggertha if you ever need another script or something gimme a holler I'll give you the same rate I give Red Leaf which is to say for free. Seriously though if you need a writer let me know I'd love to work with you again.
Thanks, bud. I'm actually trying to put out a comic right now (The Captain Corea one), so we'll see if there's any positive interest in it.
It's more than obvious that I'm not a writer. lol
