    Important Basics from Jim Lee

Jim Lee is one of the best teachers out there imho, he used to do amazing critiques on his wildstorm site.

And even tho these techniques may seem simple to some they are extremely important.

I'm not a big fan of Jim's work but that is a great find! I"ll add those to the tips and tech thread.

These are great. A lot of beginners try to skip these steps and give up because their drawings never turn out right. 50%grey is 100% RIGHT! Thanks for posting this. Great stuff.

I enjoyed watching these, 50%grey! Good stuff from a comic-art demigod.

Pretty Awesome. I keep on finding that watching an artist draw live has been far more helpful to me in my learning than just going through a book.

i learn so much from Jim's vids. I wish he'd do a proper instructional video/book. guys so wealthy and busy guess it doesn't matter too much to him tho

I don't believe he has the time to do that. I was at a panel at SDCC last year, he was explaining his schedule to us. From 7am-4pm he's running the daily operations at DC, then he gets he eats dinner, spends a little time with wife and family, then starts drawing Justice League title from 9pm until 4am. He said he lived off sugar free red-bull and cheez its lol. Maybe when he retires, we will get something from him.
