Another great movie from the Wachowskis. IMHO they are so far ahead of any of the current directors..

Even tho the story wasn't as good as people wanted it for Reloaded/Revolutions, the movies themselves were amazing looking.

    This too.

Both films were visually orgasmic. And yeah, I've watched them about a half a dozen times each and I still couldn't explain to you what any of it means, but I love that whole trilogy.

This movie looks fantastic and it looks like the story will appeal to me also. I love this these types of story telling and stories overall.

Saw it. It was good, not great...so far. Story was similar to this Japanese movie called Fish Story, only it was more ambiguous(On first viewing) with its connection of these various stories and way more epic in scale. This is a movie that you want to see with observant friends so you can all compare notes at all the clues you're shown. It's nearly 3 hours long but I was engaged the whole way through. The reason I say the movie is only good so far is because there was sooo many small details to things that were really highlighted but on a second viewing I feel like I could catch a ton more story cues I missed before that might elevate the movies standing.

Very Minor spoilers alert about the special effects.

People who have an interest in this movie know that the same actors play several different parts in the movie. Some playing different races or even different genders. This was very hit or miss when it came to some ethnicities. Like some were really great makeup jobs like this black girl being a white woman(I actually thought they had gotten Debbie Gibson to play the part) or even this man playing an old woman. But then there is this part when a bunch of the actors play Korean characters...It is just so weird looking. One kind of looks passable, like he could have been a mixed asian dude...kinda. But mostly they just look like burn victims. And they spend sooo much time in this segment with these actors like this. With lots of closeups so you can see the makeup and whats worse is that it's like they didn't even make individually styled "asian brow/eye" prosthetic. It's like they recycle the same mold for every guy which makes it even more odd looking. And then some asian actors get made to look white but that is hit and miss. Mostly they just wind up looking like Devon/Steve Aoki. But then it gets even weirder because they did an extremely good job with Halle Berry's old asian guy makeup but that character is only in the movie 5 Seconds. Besides all that, the special effects were great.

I just looked up the box office on this movie and dammmmmnnnnn. The Wachowskis are lucky they already got some new Matrix movies coming up because they have made 2 huge bombs in a row. And while some performances were pretty good, this movie ain't gonna get no oscar noms.

Not yet. I would have to believe it could pull in some decent numbers internationally. I still haven't seen it and probably won't, as I'm not willing to make the 90 minute drive to see it in a decent theater.

Only thing I heard was months ago and Keanu Reeves mentioned to some reporter that a script was being written for a new Matrix. Not sure if any other info has been released since then.
