These definitely don't look like lightweight quality. Both great stuff but, like BoS, Walrus-dude with the severed arm from the movie put that one over for me.

D.I.S demonstrates some strong figure work, especially for the Lightweight division. With practice I can see his progression toward the highter tiers to be rather quick. More attention should be paid to spotting blacks in ways that make the composition really pop, and also the over rendering on Chewie is a bit of an eye sore. On Pell's piece, the first thing I noticed was how well Han Solo's foot was foreshortened. Just that little detail alone elevates the piece. Of course, the flat and bland colors, and the dull grey background definitely set it back. Voted D.I.S.
