    My new cat, Caeser:

Here's Garfield with my other cat Sasquatch when he was a baby (he's four months old now). He's Garfield's little boy...his mom is my other cat Spook.

    Here's Spook trying to hide:

This is Cookie...or as he thinks of himself, "King Cookie"

And Cookie's best friend and brother, Chester:

    Sasquatch

I'll try to get pics of my cats "Black Samson" & Lil' Spook soon...and my other dog Charlie.

I love that commercial. I have no idea where this little guy came from but he's the third generation of possums that have been coming up to my deck at night to eat the cat's food. The cat's don't care though, they eat with them. This one actually has a sibling that's a tad larger. I think the one that has been coming around must have been the mother but she seems to have moved on. They are awesome animals and more docile than you'd think. Still, I'm not putting my hand near the thing. I don't even know that it's for sure a male...I won't find out either!

Definitely have to be careful of rabies with your cats if they are getting chummy with possum. Although they are probably fine unless you're seeing them in the daytime.

Well, the good news is a possum isn't likely to get rabies. Their body temperatures are too low to incubate it. That and they aren't likely to bite, their hissing and hair raising is mostly an act. I did a little research when they first started showing up because I was worried about those things.

Possums are awesome! Racoons as well, but I guess they can get rabies. Good news rabies isn't in this country at least, neither is heart worm. Sad news possums and raccoons aren't in this country either - except in zoos.
