There is no animosity harbored in this post, but I have made it a mission in my life to sorta grass-roots style correct misused expressions: in this case SHOO-IN (correct) vs. SHOE-IN (common-yet-incorrect).

Duesy is another often misspelled expression.

Now back to the art. Furmanjon the photo realism of that first piece is the best I have ever seen on Penciljack. I can't even begin to see if there are any other flaws because the rendering is so mind blowing!

What's funny about that is that I didn't do anything like this before. When I was actually competing it was 2 years ago, and I was doing more typical (I guess) pencil stuff, and it wasn't on this level. I had a couple of close matches and probably at least one where my opponent didn't have time or didn't finish. It was light heavyweight then too.

I appreciate it, Pop. In truth though, I wasn't due anything before. I had the skill but never put out very high-quality work. I was a dick about it, of course. No more of that.

I rejoined to have fun, but also because for professional development I need to do at least one painting like those above per month. I figured this would be a perfect companion to something I need to do anyway.
