you draw a pretty woman! start drawing from life and you'll see a huge improvement! there's some great websites out there where you can set it to 3min poses and draw what ever comes along as quickly as you can! it will make you understand what you need to show a pose and whats just extra details! good work here! keep going and you can't help but improve!
@ Crazy Thank you!! I appreciate your time in going through the thread, I will definitely do what you advised. I'm hoping to join this life drawing session every 2nd Sunday of the month in Houston. Hopefully I can find more on week nights, but noone on my facebook has given me a recommendation when I asked twice and google only directed me to one.
I will incorporate those websites into my studies too along with the books. The weekly sketch group is really helping me get out of my old comfort zone along with NYP's brawl. I hope to get better and better to build a pummel weigh in to compete in that.
Can't wait to see more of your work too Crazy. Thanks again =)
if there's an art college near you, take a wander around the streets surrounding it or ask someone on the campus if there's any life drawing classes going on. they tend not to advertise the naked people too well! ha! the weekly sketch group is great for helping to get the brain working!

do you recommend the 30 minute/1 hour training on the 2nd website?
3 minutes is the best way? How much details should I aim to capture in 3 minutes of each figure?
the first website is the one i've used and i found with 3-5 minutes just draw how you would normally draw from life and see what you get done, you'll find your self working out what to keep as you go along! also check out these types of videos

i watched one like this and watching him draw made a few things click in my head! can't find the video now! typical! just try and actually focus on drawing the pose and not the person! work out the shoulders, hips and pelvis and the distance in-between!
ha! found the video! thank god i bookmark nearly everything! look how this guy marks out the shadows before shading them!

Thanks Crazy! I posted on your thread. How does a life drawing session really work? I'd like to create the effects on those websites until I can attend August 11.
i think you start with 5-10 minute poses. concentrate on getting the form (as in the skeletal structure) down first, line up the body so that you have something to build on and then start to shade. if the time runs out, move on. you'll find you get faster at throwing down the structure, and then you can concentrate on the shading!
