First trip to comic shop in about 10 years... what to buy?

I'm going to hit a comic book store today. I need something to wake me up and get my imagination going again!

Comics were lazy and crappy and the caliber of art and story had suffered so much last time I bought comics that I just couldn't do it anymore.

I'm so far removed from any comic's continuity that it literally is like starting over. So I am not sure what to buy and read...

Can anyone help? If you could buy one comic that will be in the store today (Thursday, July 5th) what would it be???

Help me get excited about comics again!

If Mark Waid is still writing Daredevil, pick it up. I haven't been to my LCS in a while (my pull list stack must be HUGE), but it was one of my favorite reads. Art was trading between Paolo Rivera and another guy (can't remember his name) that was a little more loose, but still clean with some great story telling skills. I was also digging Batman, with Snyder and Capullo. Good writing, great art.
    Cheers, Alex

"Dark Horse Presents"! I have been buying this since last Summer when I asked the same question here. I have not been disappointed.
I have also picked up "Danger Club", or whatever the title, from Image. The first two issues have been pretty good.

Alright I picked up a DHP per Cyberlord and because I LOVE Popninja and ONLY because I love Popninja and value his opinion I picked up Invincible... but if I hate it... I'm gonna be honest about it!

All the Marvel and DC books are on part 3 or 4 of something and it reminded me how annoying that gets... so I passed on those.

Thanks to everyone who helped. I will be posting opinions on these books later. Excited to read some comics today!

As a side note, it's sad to see how meager and pathetic these little shops have become. The tiny wall of comics... the small row of bins. I was alone in the store almost the whole time. Not the comic book "theme parks" they had when I was a kid.

You'll probably hate it, but only because you won't have a clue what's been happening if you haven't read it in a long time.

It's still in my Top 3 must-buy comics.
