Even though I've been using bristol lately, my favorite drawing surface is recycled brown sketchbooks. I love working off a middle tone and the recycled in particular have a nice surface and interesting texture for scanning purposes.
For what it's worth, I've sworn off drawing on photocopy paper. Got myself a big art book now![]()

My criteria for voting is pretty much always the same:
"If I could only own one of these, which would I take?"
and Bikini won on that count. I own con sketches that are half done, but still look cooler on my wall than some finished pages I've bought. Art I like is just art I like.
The exception to that rule being a few times where I thought one competitor may have done a superior piece but it wasn't really the agreed topic, but that's pretty rare.
