Do people make money at conventions? I thought it was more for the fun of it?

Anyways. Thanks Acacia for checking in. I'm finding it quite hard to squeeze time in this month and I still need to complete my Street Fight pages. I really want to make a good showing though.

Hell yeah. One of my favorite painters everest, Donato Giancola, is wildly successful, and credits a lot of his getting into the fantasy/sci-fi market by attending a Con on a whim. He said that a lot of companies finally saw his work, and the rest is history.

From what I hear, he can actually command so much from private commissions, he focuses on those just so he doesn't have to deal with the tight deadlines of regular published work, and only takes it when he really wants to. He's a bit more like a gallery painter now than an illustrator, but wouldn't have been able to if not for starting at cons.

That's a bit different than making money from attending conventions. Good for him though.

I just re-read the topics for this month's middleweights and I cannot wait to see how they turn out, so lets not have any no shows! I especially can't wait to see Samurai Jack, Locke and Key, and The Original X-Men

My entry for the monthly against Rayuken.
    Lusiphur from Poison Elves.
Unfortunately, I failed to finish again, but I did get a lot closer this time around.

    Cool stuff reaper.

Well guys, it's a boy. Last week my wife popped out another little boy. Unfortunately, it seems as though we weren't really prepared. I know, 8 months of trying and 9 of pregnacy, and the crib still isn't set up... Anyways, my point is don't expect much from me this month.
I'm going to give next month a go, but that one is really going to tell me wether I will be able to continue to compete in Pummel or drop out for a little bit.

My entry for July, the topic being Gwar. I worked on it until I was just sick of looking at it. Time to let it go so that I can move on to something else.
