As someone who has had their ass handed to them by Deth, I can only imagine what his would have looked like finished. I'm sure it would have been ****ing awesome.

Yeah, had to go with the completed piece too. Ben's has some really sharp pencil shading (except the shadow on Dracula's left ear, which is puzzling me), and the face is solid, but overall composition and the details Deth managed to finish make me really want to see the final product. Deth, I hope you get the time to finish the piece.

It really is a shame that you weren't able to finish, Deth. This looks like a picture I would save to my desktop and look at sometimes with guilty pleasure... what?

Seriously, though, these are such different and interesting takes on a classic character. Literary characters really allow the artist's interpretation to show through- I love topics like this.

Deth definitely has something interesting started there with his Pimp-Dracula, just wish he could have put in another hour or so to flesh it out a bit more. Went with Ben's old bun-headed Drac pencils on this one.
