CD, I think your last month's entry was a bit stronger, but I like what you were going for here. I think next time ya o an action scene, try to really push that impact, k.
Ray, you mentioned that you weren't able to finish, so I'm curious as to where you were taking this. It is coming across as in stage 5 of 6. What were ya going to do to finish it?

I had planned to put in at least another 8 hours on this. I did up a sketch and outlined the dragon and trees to my satisfaction. I was then going to use another 8 hours (pretty much all of monday) to: outline the remainder of the scene, apply multiple layers of coloring, applying shading, highlights throughout., maybe play with line thickness, then finally take it all into photoshop and do some textures and final editing... instead what happened on my supposed day off (monday) was I got called to work. I ended up rushing everything that would have taken me at least 8 hours (maybe more) in a couple hours. I'm very much an 'erase/undo, then try that line again' kinda guy. But with that mad dash I just started throwing things around in a panic and not looking back. I'm going to erase everything except the outline of the dragon and redo this and post in the finished work section here. Be sure to check it out as I think this piece is far from where its going to be* This is actually going to be an interactive page in what is going to be my first (solo anyways - I illustrate/animate apps for a living), interactive book app for ios!
