    Inking Jack Kirby inking practice

So, in my last effort at inking I was informed that line weights were my big problem. So I thought for the next few pieces I'd want to try something to challenges me more with line weight and less with details. I thought Jack Kirby would be great for this, and this piece is one that I could relate to. C&C are welcome as I work through the process.

I'm afraid I find the monster to be confusing. I can't make out the head/rightarm/torso combo.

And where is his right leg?

This is Kirby's original piece, which leads me to believe that there was no right leg to begin with. I do agree that there seems to be some confusion surrounding the mid-section; however, I do believe that the confusion lies mainly in the original design. Covie may have been set up for failure.

Covie - considering what you had to work with, not bad at all!!!

I like it, It conveys the overall feel of a Kirby piece. And the right leg is toward the back partially obscured by the left leg in the foreground.
