    Infinite Experiment

    Howdy,



    I haven’t tried this before and have not seen a sample script, so thought I’d give it a try.

    So script conventions etc… are utterly experimental and completely subject to debate.

    For those unfamiliar with the concept, Infinite is Marvel's take on electronic comics ( think power point meets comics and you're nearly there ).

    I'm working this through a page at a time and for simplicity have begun with a single panel page. Others with multiple panels will follow though.

    Feedback, discussion, thoughts etc… Welcome

    Page 1

    Full page panel

    Panel 1, Scene 1

    Night.

    We’re outside the Avengers Mansion.
    We have the burning wreckage of a crashed Quinjet strewn across the grounds at the front of the mansion. Smoke and flame are billowing from the wreckage, the mansion has some damage ( broken windows etc.. ) but nothing substantial.

    Panel 1, Scene 2

    Transition:

    Smoke/Flame have changed, the flames growing higher

    Caption(1): NORMALLY WE LEAVE EACH OTHER TO OUR OWN DEVICES. BEN SOMETIMES JOKES THAT IT'S A UNION THING.

    Panel 1, Scene 3

    Transition:

    Smoke/Flame have changed, the flames growing higher

    Caption(2): I JUST HAPPENED TO BE NEARBY WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

    Panel 1, Scene 4

    Transition:

    Smoke/Flame have dimmed considerably. The smoke constrained, trapped within an invisible hemisphere over the wreckage.

    Caption(3): PART OF WHO WE ARE THOUGH. SOME THINGS YOU CAN’T IGNORE.

    Panel 1, Scene 5

    Transition:

    The flames are out. Smoke throngs the hemisphere that much of the wreckage is now obscured.

    Effect(fade in): The Invisible Woman, in civvies ( she was out shopping ) appears facing the wreckage, her back to us.

    Captions ( 1,2,3 ): Fade out

    Caption(4): SOME THINGS MUST BE AVENGED.

    Panel 1, Scene 6

    Transition:

    The hemisphere has dissipated and the trapped smoke is now escaping. The flames are utterly dead.

    The invisible woman’s clothes have faded and she is now in costume.
    In the background the lights of emergency vehicles can now be seen approaching.

    Caption(4) fades out leaving only the word AVENGED.

    Panel 1, Scene 7

    Transition:

    Smoke continues to flow.

    The emergency vehicle lights are now more prominent.

    The Invisible Woman can now be seen ascending the steps to the mansion.

    The Word AVENGED is now highlighted in red, and has grown to become the title.

    Panel 1(Effect: Fade in), Scene 1
    The smoke stained doors of the Mansion. They’re closed.

    Panel 1, Scene 2

    The centre of the doors has now been rendered transparent and inside we can see the entrance hall. Important: The entrance hall contains a classic double staircase leading up to a balcony that looks over the entrance hall.

    Waiting in the hall are two human sized combat robots, they look very unfriendly and are standing guard.

    IMPORTANT: Both while humanoid, should be anatomically different from human. Whether this be multiple joints or hips/shoulders misplaced is irrelevant. They just need to look, markedly different to emphasise that they were not designed by humans.

    Panel 2 ( Effect: horizontal slide in), Scene 1

    Side on POV of Sue concentrating.

    Panel 1, Scene 3

    Both robots in mid squish, as Sue crushes them with an unstoppable force field from above

    SFX(burst in): CRUNCH!

    Panel 2, Scene 2

    Same POV, Sue’s look of concentration has now relaxed.

    Panel 3 ( Effect: Fade in), Scene 1

    Sue kneeling in the entrance hall, examining the crushed remains of the robots

    SUE: I DON’T NEED REED TO RECOGNISE THESE.

    Panel 4, scene 1

    Sue standing, with her back to us looking inwards towards the rest of the mansion.

    SUE: THE BASELINE ANATOMY IS TOO REMOVED FROM HUMAN. THESE WERE MACHINE DESIGNED.

    Panel 5, scene 1

    Transition – Verticle slide in

    Atop the balcony, in our immediate foreground, maybe side on pov, and looking down we have a gloating Ultron.

    In the middle of the entrance hall, a surprised but not shocked Sue is looking up.

    ULTRON: I AM IMPRESSED. MY FILES NEVER INDICATED YOU POSSESSED THIS LEVEL OF DEDUCTIVE REASONING.

    SUE(Fade in/Burst): ULTRON!

    ULTRON(Link/fade in): THERE SEEMS HOWEVER LITTLE POINT IN UPDATING THEM.

    Panel 6, scene 1

    Transition – Slide in

    Close up of Ultron leering down to where we imagine Sue to be. Lots of Kirby dots from his mouth and eyes.

    ULTRON(1): GIVEN THAT I WILL BE ASSIMILATING YOUR GENETIC MAKEUP INTO MY POWER MATRIX.

    ULTRON( 2/FADE IN): JUST AS I DID WITH THE AVENGERS!
