I agree with Popninja; I'm wondering how he'll do in a fight to pencils only, I guess we'll see! I went LHW because I'm not sure I could take him in a fight.

@ popninja- I've heard that before, about the digi to traditional skill levels. Shouldn't worry though, I'm pretty consistent. Can't wait to prove it in a pencils only fight. What you should be looking @ to determine my skill level is form, anatomy, composition....things that can't be improved in digital programs, but only by the eye. Fade drops, gradients, color effects....those are, well.....you know.

I wavered between Mids and LHs. I think he'd do fine in either class, but would obviously have a tougher go of it in the LHs. One thing that kept (unfortunately) grabbing my eye was how the weapons/blades were handled in the second piece. They always come off as being viewed flat on - would have liked to have seen some angles on those puppies.

...and I think, why are the hands so well done on this piece, but not so well done in the pencil piece dreno360 linked to? Better hands drawn in a piece two years older than the one with hands that are iffy?

Weird. The inconsistencies make my vote even more difficult.

Time should not matter. You either can properly draw hands or you can't. And that skill, or lack thereof, should play a part in deciding what division you belong in.
