    What tool is this?

Ok, Ive been asking photographers, film students, etc and either they have no idea what im talking about or say its a storyboard. Maybe you can help. I took a 8.5 x 11 paper and cut a 1x2, 3x5, and 4x6 rectangle out. Why those sizes? Cause they represent the aspect ratio of a 11x17 sheet. So if i draw a thumbnail I can use anyone of those holes to see how it will fit on paper. This would help me. Ive seen people do it with their hands (make the square) and some even have a genuine tool. Whats the tool called?

Yep. Bought a 16x 20 card stock. Made 4 of them from large to small.
