    Weekly Sketch Group #258

    Weekly Sketch Group #258

It's time for weekly sketch group #258! Every PJ member is welcome to post a sketch or four (as many as you'd like ) in the weekly sketch group, so please join us this week, next week and every week! Got a great idea for a sketch group topic you would like to draw or see your fellow artists draw? Just PM me the details and I'll endeavor to include it in a future installment! ALL of our topics this week are submitted by your fellow sketch group participants!

    Weekly Sketch Group 258 topics:

    1. Draw your favorite GI JOE character: Any GI JOE or COBRA character is up for grabs!

    2. Hollywood Badasses: Clint Eastwood! Draw the legendary Clint Eastwood in any of his most Iconic roles. The High Plains Drifter, Dirty Harry, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Philo Beddoe from Any Which Way but Loose!

3: Rango: The Animated Chameleon Character from the Johnny Depp Movie of the same name!

    4. Original Character or Concept:
    by CBikle
Steve Anchor from the cult-favorite 80's TV show, Mystery Beach

BACKGROUND: On Mystery Beach, *David Michael West played the lead role of Steve Anchor, ex-Navy captain who patrols Mystery Beach in search of evidence to clear his name of a crime he didn't commit while being hunted by the authorities.

Steve is ably assisted by his crew which includes his curmudgeonly pipe-smoking first mate, a boy genius and his robot and a mermaid who serves as one of his love interests. Steve's other love-interest is Lt. Tara of Naval Intelligence, who has sworn to bring Steve Anchor to justice, even though she loves him.

APPEARANCE: Steve Anchor (as played by David Michael West) with his too-thick hair, and too-bright smile, has that look of a TV star from the 80's. Think David Hasselhoff mixed with Ted McGinley with a dash of Lyle Waggoner. Steve usually wears a sea captain's hat and standard casual seagoing attire.

PERSONALITY: Friendly and smart, Steve is always willing to brave danger to help someone in need or thwart wrongdoing, whether it's foiling international jewel thieves, delivering a baby while inside of a whale or battling his archnemesis, the "Sasquatch Of The Sea" known as SeaSquatch.

    * David Michael West played Steve Anchor on all five seasons of Mystery Beach (except for season 4, when he was replaced by Paul Thomas Phillips, during "contract negotiations").

What a bunch of great topics for drawing this week! So, sharpen those pencils and look sharp!

Clint Eastwood is a very cool topic !

Personally, I'd love to see a drawing of either or both of his characters from Gran Turino or Any Which Way You Can.

I love these Eastwoods. I am pretty sure that Josey Wales is from his own movie though. Isnt he just the Man With No Name in GBnU?

Not sure, but there was speculation that the character he played in Unforgiven was The Man with No Name at the end of his career.
