Golden Age Characters Draw Off

Hi everybody. This is a draw off I started, unfortunatelly I wasn't able to finish something in time due to some work overload i've been having lately.
Anyway, I want to thank Benjonesart and Warriorsmurf for taking time to do something for this. I really appreciate it guys!

I decided to not cast a vote here, since I think both images are great.

This thread keeps popping up with no comments. So here's one, That Human Torch is unrecognizable, I know people don't like hearing negative comments but do you think this is your best effort? Warrior Smurf, I voted for you.

I too voted for Warrior Smurf. I'm sorry but I didn't know what the heck I was looking at with the the Human Torch. I couldn't even tell that it was supposed to be human shaped until I really started looking at it closely. I'm not trying to say anything negative because I love the rest of Ben's work. I think color may have made a huge difference on that one. In this instance, I had to go with what I knew. I like the Daredevil in Smurf's piece.

The only thing killing it for me is the Comcast remote in the background lol...I used to work at a Comcast call center!

Been out of town for nearly a week and just now getting the chance to reply in here. Lol, I didn't notice the remote until you mentioned it. Here's a an update:



I added more gray and blue tones to Batman's costume and some grays to his face as well as some line tweaks here and there. Also, tweaked the colors on Daredevil slightly. Again, the photo doesn't do the piece justice. Thanks for voting for me guys I, along with a few others, got zero votes in the TMNT draw off, lol.

I had a similar reaction the the Human Torch piece but figured an update may have followed. I understand time (or lack thereof) can be a major factor in how these projects turn out, though. Anywho, as I said in the initial thread, I'm open to another one (or more) of these. Maybe (hopefully) we'll get more participants the next time around
