First off, Batman isn't real. So that means that Batman can be anything you want him to be.Second, who cares.

Plus, DC will never openly make Batman 'gay', because of this homophobic world we live in. I'm sure some religious wack jobs would be up in arms if they did.

This reminds me of a script I've written that's just sitting on my hard drive for a character idea I was kicking around. An openly gay bad ass super-hero. I was thinking of making it a webcomic at some point but would anyone really care to read it besides myself? I don't know, the world at large is still homophobic. As far as Batman, I don't think he's gay at all. Maybe the Adam West Batman but not the comic book Batman.

i've only really read the first 24 issues of the authority, there's not a lot of back story on the characters, but the story is good. I recomend it
