A properly done Miller era Daredevil movie could kick ass.. also X-Men First Class was pretty good imo, I'd rather see a sequel to that than the other X-Men series

For both movies, the plot was kind of meandering, the cast was OK, but kind of boring and low-energy (Alicia Masters being black was kind of cool though) and just like the 90's FF movie, both movies seemed to run out of money for special effects, resulting in lackluster endings.
Also, the actor miscast as Doctor Doom, played him as Lex Luthor as being played by Gene Hackman and it didn't work.
There were other problems too, but those are the biggies.
I dunno, I don't see why they need to reboot FF, but I don't see why it's a big deal if they do, it was okay but not as good as captain America.
I rather liked first class, liked it even more than the other x-men I daresay
Out of curiosity cyberlord, and honestly not trying to be a dick, wont you be boycotting these movies anyway? What's the big deal?
I wish they could do a 5-10 minute recap of the previous movie(s), or the origin parts, and just make a moivie with a good story instead of re-booting everything from the beginning. Is there anyone that doesn't know spiderman's origin? If you don't, you probably aren't interested in seeing the new movie.
I just like watching uncle Ben die over and over again
I've been reading it for nearly thirty years and still, I don't see much wrong with the movies. It's difficult to pack into an hour and a half what's taken fifty years to perfect. I never said they were masterpieces but they are what they are. They are comic book movies. Hell, they aren't even really for us, the comic fans. They are for movie goers who have no idea who the characters ever are without the film. I like them for what they are but if I really want to enjoy the FF, Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman...etc, I'll open a comic and read the source material. It's easy to judge harshly when comparing the movie to the comics but as I said, the film makers aren't really catering to us. They are simply pushing out summer money makers.
With that said, "Fantastic Four" was a hell of a lot better than Nolan's Batman films...they just pure suck the life out of the character. The FF was fun and you recognized the characters right away as their comic book counterparts. Nolan's Batman isn't anything like the Batman I've grown to know over the years. (Maybe cause Bale sucks) But none of that matters, they are making money at the box office from the general public. So, does FF stand up to it's comic roots? No, it doesn't. It is however a decent movie on it's own.
How can it be a decent FF movie if it shows little respect to the source material? Doom was a mess. The antagonist was a joke and without one there is no conflict and thus no movie.
Doom is not a hard character to write. Sheesh.

I also liked the FF movies, I don't understand why they didn't do better at the box office.
The biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a living at doing what they most enjoy.
