Hell no, you need to draw for you, because you are the only one who will get anything out of it. Strive to be better, I see you have skill, I love the composition and background but your figure is cropped horribly and the perspective is off, and your Iron Man doesn't look like Iron man to me and his proportions are off. Take your hits and get back into it head first!

Everyone gets an artistic beat down once in a while on this site Ben, but it's all in how you recover. And it isn't a bad image, I think there are problems that could have been corrected to make it better. Your finishing is on point though.

Hanzou had a pretty solid image all around, so I voted for it.

Welcome to the club Ben. Everyone who has been here for awhile has recieved roughly as many beat downs as they've dished out.

As to you comments about drawing tot he audience. Hmmm that is a tough one, take it too far and it'll drain the fun out of Pummel for you. My advice for what it's worth (which isn't a lot) is that you should work to make things clear and to bring up the impact of your work. For instance I think that your Ironman would have benefited from a darker background to give him a better silhouette. Action tends to read better here than more sedate pin ups.

But I wouldn't try to draw things trying to tailor a piece to get votes, I've tried and failed. My most successful pieces here have all come from the heart. The pieces that I've received the worst beatings with have all been things that I drew because I thought the audience would 'like' it more.

This is a good piece. It got my vote. Jump in on some street fights and experiment remember we aren't here to get votes we're here to grow as artists.

Ben, everyone's been spot on with their advice. Keep it in mind as you work on your next piece - you'll just get better. I see it happen all the time around here.
