It's hard to look at your work objectively. Either you love it too much or you hate it too much. The problem is: You've seen your work last year, 10 years ago, when you were a child. So to you it's AWESOME (Especially when compared to your old work).

We have folks here who are still working on mastering anatomy and composition, so there has to be room for the entire spectrum of fighters: Stick figures through pro-class. It's kinda hard to judge whether we have put people in the right place by just glancing over the body of work here (I think it took me just about a month before I started to see that the system works just fine).

You have to have at least 50 posts before you can put a sig line in. It's an anti-spam measure.

Just a quick question the High rank chooses the topic is a bit suss. I can think of a topic now work on it now until i become a high rank and then choose that topic and then submit my piece.(that I have been working on for the last 2 months) thats just asking for people to cheat. you have a month to work on one piece I could easily work on that and the next topic in my head.
The topic should be chosen by someone who does not battle. in my opinion chief.

Interesting idea. Truth be told, it's never come up. Often times, you'll find that the topics are almost negotiated. Sure, the default is the higher ranked guys, but in my experience, it's talked about a fair bit. I'd actually say that in most cases there's a bit of give and take to it.

...or some kind of pool. We all donate ideas to a pool and it is randomly distributed. I kinda like the way it works now, but that's because I am in the "I want to get better, so challenge me!" mode. I don't know what I'm going to do if I'm the decider... o.O

We have that. Look above my arrows... see the star. You can give (or take away) reputation by clicking that and then clicking "I approve" or "I disapprove".

As for topics and such, I had this brain child a few months back. lol
