I think most people see MW in that first piece because it has no background. Add a background and it kicks it up another level. Add a GREAT background to it and it kicks it up further.
The thing with these weigh ins, is it is just an initial placement, and the contest does allow for people to move up quickly and correct any mistakes that might have been made in the weigh in process. Whether it's people posting the wrong type of art for their weigh in to judge them on, or simply voters getting it wrong. FCO is a good example of that. Voted in as a LHW and is currently the HW champion for several months running.
