Golden Age draw off

Hey everyone, I was once on the pummel but unfortunately I needed to move out from the pummel since I hadn't enough time for it. So this is not from the pummel, although you can use this for your stats if that's allowed by the pummel rules.

Anyway, I was thinking of having a draw off with everyone who's interested in joining, the more the merrier.

Topic:
Drawing a Golden Age character. It could be any character from the golden age of comics (1930's to early 1950's). You can make a draw of the golden age design of some current superheroes/characters, that were created/published during that period. Like a golden age Batman, or a golden age Shazam. And can also be any character published on the comic strips of the same period.
Draw as many characters as you wish, as long as they are from the same comic.

Media
You can use whatever media you want. (Pencil, Ink, Color, Painting, Sequentials, etc.)

Deadline
I was thinking of making it due April 29, 23:59 (midnight) Central Time (GMT -6).

Well if anyone is interested, please post here your work before the deadline to enter.

Warriorsmurf, if you want to make a crossover it's ok for me. Originally i was thinking of making the draw-off about the same comic characters. For example some Batman and Robin thing. But I don't see any problem if you'd like to do a crossover between publishers or comic strips for your piece.

That Human torch idea it's great benjonesart! I'll post mine within the next couple days, I'm almost finished with it. You guys feel free to post it whenever you want, just try to match the deadline so I can include your art on the poll.

Hey guys, I've been having some personal issues during the week and I wasn't able to finish my piece in time. Do you guys mind if we give this Draw off another day? This way the deadline would be April's 30th, 23:59 (GMT -6). What do you guys think?

Well, I know that it is wrong to change the deadline to fit me, but I really wanted to do this, hehe. Or if you guys feel like the deadline must be respected, then I'll post whatever I have done by 23:59 today.

"Picture it: Sicily, 1915...". I keed, I keed. I ran into a similar issue as endeserben throughout the week. Then, I ran into some problems with the piece that I decided on very late and ended up throwing together the incomplete "experiment" posted below on somewhat short notice.







I must also say that there were a helluva lot of cool characters to pick from which made it more difficult (for me) to narrow it down to a few. There should be a "return match" or "second round" involving this very subject in the very near future.
