I guess since everyone's got the same theme this month, I don't have to write up an explanation.... so, without further ado...

I have no idea what the *BLEEP* is going on in ajkarp's.

Just for that, I'm giving him a vote. His figure work is also a lot better than what I've seen from him before, so he's got that going for him, too. Anatomy is just a BIT off, but I'm willing to overlook it =)

As for me, I thought I would stop procrastinating. Ah well, I've got a full piece this time. Hope everyone enjoys my take on what REALLY happened to Bruce Wayne: He never became Batman. He only pretended to in his mind, and for his trouble was locked away. The night of his Parents death still haunts him, fueling his delusions... Over all I'm pleased with how it came out, but I need to stop relying on photoshop gradients and grain effects. I DID make a new "bat brush" which I think came out nice, though I wonder if I could have come up with a better transition?

Also, the use of different styles was intentional to display the gap between "reality" (or as close to it as I can muster) and "delusion". I've always wanted an excuse to make a more "timm"-style drawing, so there ya go =)

Tummy Mice! Okay, Steele, you get the "Awesome Title of the Month" award from me!

Karp has some great perspective and the picture itself is truly mad... It makes ME mad looking at it! o.O

Steele, your piece is seriously cool, it's an awesome twist on an old standard, I totally have to give you props for it.

The two ideas are equally awesome in my book (Ajkarp's making ME mad and Steele portraying Batman as a madness induced dream) So I'll go on technical: AjKarp takes my vote with Lineweight and Perspective.

Emperor Ya got some nice things going thinking more about overall picture making than just dropping a plain ole pin-up.
But Karp yer getting my vote: awesome warm/cool contrast in the coloring, the silhoutte created by the light is doing alot for the composition, and the perspective just keeps bringing it one home.

AJ gets my vote on this one.

AJ, just as a side note, your method of applying colour sometimes looks a little 'confused'. However, in this piece, where you've you've used a limited colour palette, it works really well. That may be something to experiment with further.

AJ, your best one yet. I think this could benefit from some extra polish though.

Emperor - I don't think the symmetry of the piece is working out. Maybe if Bruce were in a lower corner, with his memories clouding together in the space above?

Nick: Yeah, that's a good point. My piece merely describes madness instead of invoking it. I really should have thought my piece through better =/

Still, I think this is the worst beating I've taken yet! Ow, ow, OW! Take it easy, AJ! I'm still using some of those internal organs!
