I like the way you're fleshing out the drawing by outlining first and building the drawing. I can definitely see that it's Cap you're drawing, even though it's not finished at this stage.
This is the first time I'm posting a WIP on here. Oh and the shield kinda of got cropped out by my scanner

and don't cut off the feet. the stomach muscles do not seem in line with the crotch. they need to be over to the left some more.

I see what you mean, I'm going to try and move the crotch to match instead.
I'm about 40 percent in and I don't like the belt I might redo that.

I'd like to help a little if I can
When you do a sketch you should always start with three things (in my opinion)
A line for the body = this will help keep your figure centered and ensure that the figure is properly proportioned. The line acts as a guide to convey action and as a way to act as a center devide for the body. basically splitting the body in two halves. The chest and abs should follow along this line to ensure proper anatomy.
your cap sketch is slightly off because the abs dont follow along this line it creates a misalignment with the abs and the pelvis
I hope this helps

thanks, those are actually very helpful. I keep messing up on my proportions, need to start lining up.
Be careful with the armoured scales on his shoulders. You've exaggerated them a bit - and curled them up as well - so they look a bit like feathers.
